Largest religious structure in the world

Modeled after the residence of the Hindu Gods at Mount Meru, Angkor Wat is truly heaven on earth. Once the capital of the Khmer Empire, the Buddhist temple is not only visually mesmerizing but is also an important piece of Southeast Asian history. While over 900 years old, the dazzling temples are immaculately preserved, and will give you the feeling that you are in the height of the Khmer Empire. Surrounded by the luscious jungles of Cambodia, these ruins have been listed as one of the World’s Wonders and have been compared to the work of Michelangelo and the Temple of Solomon. To experience these temples in person is to touch and witness one of the most amazing places left on Earth.
