Day1: Siem Reap, arrival

Day 1: Arrive in Siem Reap    
Welcome to Siem Reap, the charming gateway to the famed temples of Angkor. Following your arrival, you will be greeted by your local English speaking guide, who will assist you in your transport to your hotel. 

Once at the hotel, you will have the option to either rest, or begin your discovery of Siem Reap on a stroll through its vibrant markets and beautiful pagodas. 

In the afternoon, a local ‘remork’ will whisk you away to get the first glimpse of the temples at the legendary Angkor Wat. Here you will be able to view the sheer size of the temple area and enjoy the spectacular view of Angkor from an Air Balloon 120m in the air!

You will stay in Angkor Wat until after sunset, when it is less visited and the Apsaras shine in the most beautiful light. 

After this, you will return to the hotel.

Siem Reap Airport Siem Reap (10 km): 15 mins

Day 2: Siem Reap  
Embark on a nautical adventure on the Tonlé Sap Lake, where you will have the opportunity to learn about life on the lake. The Tonlé Sap Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia.

Board a local boat and visit Kompong Phluck, a village where you will see stilted houses on the gorgeous azure water. Enjoy the afternoon free at leisure, or if you are up for more adventure, you can add any of the following activities:

Optional: Horseback-Riding at Happy Ranch. 
Head to the Happy Ranch, a western-style horse ranch right outside of Siem Reap. Here, you can take a ride through temple ruins and the beautiful countryside on horseback! 

Optional: Quad Bike Adventure
Ride through the countryside on a quad bike especially designed for off road terrain. The 12 km guided tour will take you to local villages, where you can learn about the way of life in rural Cambodia and have the chance to meet and chat with these friendly people. 

Optional: Beng Mealea
Head to placid Beng Mealea, around 65 km from Siem Reap. Here, you will take a short hike through the dense jungle until you reach a beautiful archaic overgrown temple. 

Optional: Angkor Silk Farm
Drive through the countryside around the Western Baray where the water buffalos roam in swampy ponds frozen in time. You will visit the Angkor Silk Farm 15 km west of Siem Reap, Children will get the opportunity to feed the silk worms – a truly entertaining experience!
In the evening, you will attend a performance of ‘Phare, the Cambodian Circus’. Starting at 7pm, the Phare Ponleu Selpak (PPS) will perform an inspiring show, suitable for all ages.   

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Siem Reap    
After breakfast, you will visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire. Enter the city through the ancient South Gate, a prodigious stone gate carved with Elephants and four giant faces.

From here, you will continue to Bayon Temple in the center of the city. This 12th century masterpiece is well known for its 54 towers with enigmatic faces.
Next, take an opportunity to explore Ta Prohm temple, where the movie: ‘Tomb Raider’ starring Angelina Jolie was set and filmed.  Ta Prohm is unique in that it has been left largely as it was found, covered in luscious jungle vegetation.

Return to the hotel, where you can enjoy the rest of your afternoon in leisure.

Day 4: Siem Reap – Departure    (B)
You will have some free time in the morning to take in the sights one last time. After this, you will get on the transfer to the airport, where you will depart from Siem Reap.
